The Stevies will be presented on October 22 in New York City
Lynden, Washington – September 27, 2004 – Venus McNabb,
founder of 1-800-GeeksOnTime, was named a finalist today in the “Best Young
Entrepreneur” and “Best Entrepreneur Service Business” categories of The
2004 Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs.
In the course of five years, Ms. McNabb, 28, developed
one of the largest privately held on-site computer service companies in the
nation. With more than 750 repair persons, 1-800-GeeksOnTime, provides
residential and business I.T. solutions to customers in all 50 states. The
company has earned a reputation for excellence by delivering fast,

The Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs,

the accomplishments of women small business owners in the United States.
The awards are produced by the creators of the prestigious American Business
Awards, hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars” by the New York Post
(September 22, 2002).

governed by a board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors that features many
leading women entrepreneurs and figures in American business, including

chairman & president for SFBC International; and Dr. Betty Spence, president
of The National Association for Female Executives.
More than 600 nominations from small companies in
virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in 18 categories,
